These Terms and Conditions of Service and Use of Chicago House Boats are hereby made effective (“we” or “us” or “our“), and, without waiving or otherwise releasing any right or obligation under any prior terms and conditions of the use of this website, hereby amend and restate any such prior terms and conditions. In consideration of each member or customer’s (each, a “customer” or “you“) access to and use of the Site, we require every member and customer to act with integrity, to our rules for the Site, and to abide by these Terms and Conditions and each other rule, regulation or other policy of Chicago House Boats.
- The houseboat has limited facilities and resources. Do not compare with Hotels and Home.
- The storage capacity of the water tank in the Houseboat is limited. So please do not waste water. Keep the water tap closed after use.
- Please remember to switch off fans, lights while not in use. In a case of failure of electricity, water supply, A/C etc. please inform the crew immediately.
- Please do not drop sanitary napkins, plastics and other insoluble things in the closet.
- Air Conditioning would be facilitated in the Deluxe Bedroom from 09:00 PM to 06:00 AM.
- You can use A/C anytime required in PREMIUM / LUXURY Houseboats.
- The A/C in the houseboat will not cool suddenly like in home and hotels. It will take 30 minutes to 1 hour to be in power.
- An only fixed menu consisting of Traditional Indian cuisines will be available on the boat.
- Swimming in the lakes is strictly prohibited.
- Check-in time 11:30 am, Check out at 09:00 am (For overnight stay)
- Check-in time 11:00 am, Check out at 5:00 pm (For day trips)
- Check in Time 06:00 pm, check out at 9:00 am (For Night stay)
- The Houseboat will anchor by 5:30 PM for the night stay and will retain the cruise the very next morning at 08:00 AM. There is no cruising in the lake allowed in the evening hours or late night.
- To help to maintain the privacy of the Backwater culture, guests are requested to retire for the night by 10:00 PM.
- Breakage, destruction of any property of the Houseboat would solely be the responsibility of the guest and would be charged for the same.
- Do take care of your personal belongings and baggage before you leave from the Houseboat.
- The presence of flies, small insects are the Natural Habitat in Backwater. It cannot be 100% eliminated. The presence will be there at night in lights.
- There will only limited access to TV, DVD Players, Music System (The collection of the DVD is less or limited)
- Kindly cooperate with the crew, so that they can serve you better.
- Management is not responsible for late arrival & earlier departure.

How Long We Retain Your Data

Cancellation Charges
- 100% of the advance will be Refunded if cancelled 15 Days prior to the date.
- 75 % Refund,if cancelled 15 > 7 days in Check In.
- 50 % Refund,if cancelled 7 > 5 days in Check In.
- 25 % Refund,if cancelled 5 > 3 days in Check In.
- 0 % Refund,if cancelled 3 > 0 days in Check In.
- Credit/Debit card cancellations will be charged 5% extra.
- All cancellations should be intimated through email and refund policy will be effective from the date of receipt of this email. All refunds will be processed within two weeks on receipt of E-mail.
- Refunds will be made by cheque for cash payments, cheque or bank transfer. Online refunds for bookings made via our website will take 45 working days. Credit/Debit card online refunds will only be made against Credit/Debit card bookings and usually take 45 working days. Credit/Debit card/Paypal cancellations will be charged 5% extra.
- If you are postponing your booking, it will be considered as cancellation under cancellation policy.
- Refunds only through cheque for bookings made by cash/cheque/bank transfer.
- The original receipt must be presented for processing the refund.
- Special Case 1 (Strike): In case of any labor strike or owner strike and the operators are unable to process the booking on the date, the booking can be rescheduled to any other available date or the entire refund of the amount paid by the customer.
- If Special Case 2 ( Natural disasters): In case of natural disasters, bookings can be rescheduled to any other convenient date (not to peak days) according to availability. Peak dates price difference will be applicable. Refunds will be provided to cancellations only for cases of natural disasters. The refund will be up to 50% of the paid advance amount. Cancellations have to be intimated through email a minimum of 3 days before the check-in date. Refunds will be processed within 45 working days.
- If you choose to amend the dates, inform us before 7days of check-in. There is no amendment possible between 0-6 days.
Cancellation Process:
Send us an e-mail to chicagodallake@hotmail.com, stating your name, booking confirmation number and date of travel, the original receipt must be presented for processing the refund.
