Day Wise Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Srinagar
- Activities:
Upon arrival at Srinagar Airport, you will be welcomed by our representative and transferred to your houseboat or hotel. Enjoy a leisurely Shikara ride on Dal Lake in the evening, followed by a visit to the Mughal Gardens. - Overnight: Srinagar
Day 2: Drive from Srinagar to Sonamarg
- Activities:
After breakfast, embark on a scenic drive to Sonamarg, the “Meadow of Gold.” Upon arrival, settle into your campsite and spend the day exploring the verdant landscapes or resting in preparation for the trek. - Overnight: Sonamarg (Campsite)
Day 3: Trek from Sonamarg to Nichnai
- Trek Distance: 12 km | Trek Duration: 6-7 hours | Altitude: 3,505m
- Activities:
Start your trek from Sonamarg, ascending gradually along the Sindh River. Pass through enchanting pine forests and alpine meadows before reaching the Nichnai campsite, set amidst serene surroundings. - Overnight: Nichnai (Campsite)
Day 4: Nichnai to Vishansar Lake via Nichnai Pass
- Trek Distance: 12 km | Trek Duration: 6-7 hours | Altitude: 3,710m
- Activities:
Cross the Nichnai Pass to enter the breathtaking Vishansar Valley. The highlight of the day is the stunning Vishansar Lake, where you can relax and enjoy the panoramic views of the surrounding peaks. - Overnight: Vishansar Lake (Campsite)
Day 5: Trek from Vishansar to Gadsar via Gadsar Pass
- Trek Distance: 14 km | Trek Duration: 7-8 hours | Altitude: 4,200m
- Activities:
Today’s trek takes you over the Gadsar Pass, the highest point of the trek. Descend to the mesmerizing Gadsar Lake, known for its blue waters and vibrant wildflowers. - Overnight: Gadsar (Campsite)
Day 6: Gadsar to Satsar Lakes
- Trek Distance: 12 km | Trek Duration: 6-7 hours | Altitude: 3,600m
- Activities:
Trek to the serene Satsar Lakes, a group of seven interconnected lakes. The trail offers a mix of grassy meadows and rocky terrains, with spectacular views of the surrounding landscapes. - Overnight: Satsar (Campsite)
Day 7: Trek to Gangbal Twin Lakes via Zaj Pass
- Trek Distance: 9 km | Trek Duration: 6-7 hours | Altitude: 3,575m
- Activities:
Cross the Zaj Pass to reach the Gangbal Twin Lakes, nestled at the base of Mount Haramukh. Spend your day exploring the lakes and enjoying the tranquility of this sacred site. - Overnight: Gangbal (Campsite)
Day 8: Trek to Naranag and Drive to Srinagar
- Trek Distance: 12 km | Trek Duration: 5-6 hours
- Activities:
Conclude your trek with a descent to Naranag. From here, drive back to Srinagar for your departure or an optional additional day to explore the city. - Departure: Drop off at Srinagar Airport or extended stay in Srinagar.

- Costs arising due to unforeseen circumstances (weather conditions, landslides, etc.)
Terms and Conditions of Service
The contract between the service provider agency, Chicago Group of Houseboats , and the client is only effective upon receipt of full payment from the client.
Chicago Group of Houseboats reserves the right to:
a) Cancel the contract before the service date, in which case liability is limited to refunding the amount received from the client without interest.
b) Amend the route/timing of transportation services due to unavoidable circumstances.
Chicago Group of Houseboats is not responsible for improper services provided by any other agency apart from those officially confirmed by Chicago Group of Houseboats . The agency is also not liable for sudden situations that arise during the service period, such as damage, loss of luggage, or valuables, caused by the act or default of independent service associates.
Chicago Group of Houseboats shall not be liable for any death, injury, sickness, accidents, illegal or immoral activities, penalties due to activities against civic rules, or damage or loss of luggage or valuables.
The quoted amount for services is based on prevailing fuel and related costs at the time of quotation. Chicago Group of Houseboats reserves the right to amend the quoted rate due to changes in tax or surcharge structures, fuel costs, or other costs beyond its control. In such cases, Chicago Group of Houseboats will inform the client in advance of any additional payment required before the start of the service.
This contract is governed by Indian law, and any disputes should be resolved in the exclusive administrative jurisdiction of Siliguri subdivision of Darjeeling district in India.
Booking Procedure
Package bookings must be confirmed in writing.
All booking correspondence must be in writing.
Verbal communication will not be considered in case of disputes.
Bookings are confirmed only after receiving 50% of the total package cost.
The remaining payment must be cleared before starting the service.
Cancellation charges apply as follows
Cancellation must be communicated in writing to Chicago House Boats.
10% of the package cost deducted for cancellations after booking and advance payment.
5% deduction for service date changes made up to 30 days before the service, with the cost calculated based on the hotel and transportation costs for the new date.
20% deduction for cancellations made 30 days before the service starts.
40% deduction for cancellations made 29 to 15 days before the service.
50% deduction for cancellations made 14 to 10 days before the service.
60% deduction for cancellations made 9 to 6 days before the service.
90% deduction for cancellations made 5 days up to 48 hours befoare the service.
100% deduction for cancellations made within 48 hours of the service or in case of no-show.
