Day Wise Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Srinagar – Heritage Walk and Houseboat Stay
- Description: Arrive in Srinagar and transfer to your luxurious houseboat on Dal Lake. In the afternoon, embark on a guided heritage walk through the old city of Srinagar, visiting historic sites such as the Jamia Masjid, Shah-e-Hamdan Mosque, and the bustling markets of the old town.
- Overnight: Houseboat in Srinagar.
Day 2: Srinagar – Mughal Gardens, Shankaracharya Temple, and Local Handicrafts
- Description: Start the day with a visit to the beautiful Mughal Gardens: Nishat Bagh, Shalimar Bagh, and Chashme Shahi. Ascend to the Shankaracharya Temple, perched atop a hill, offering panoramic views of Srinagar. Later, visit a local artisan workshop to witness the making of traditional Kashmiri handicrafts, such as Pashmina shawls and carpets.
- Overnight: Houseboat in Srinagar.
Day 3: Srinagar to Gulmarg – Cultural Exploration and Gondola Ride
- Description: Drive to Gulmarg, known as the “Meadow of Flowers.” Upon arrival, explore the cultural side of Gulmarg, visiting the historic St. Mary’s Church and the Maharani Temple. Enjoy a Gondola ride to Kongdoori or Apharwat Peak, where you can enjoy the breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains.

Day 4: Gulmarg to Pahalgam – Saffron Fields and Avantipur Ruins
- Description: Depart for Pahalgam, stopping en route at the saffron fields of Pampore and the ancient ruins of Avantipur, a site of great historical significance. Once in Pahalgam, relax by the Lidder River or take a leisurely walk through the verdant valleys.
- Overnight: Hotel in Pahalgam.
Day 5: Pahalgam – Aru and Betaab Valleys Exploration
- Description: Explore the stunning Aru and Betaab Valleys, known for their lush meadows and pristine rivers. Learn about the local shepherd communities and enjoy the serene environment of these less-visited areas. You can also visit a traditional Kashmiri village to get a glimpse of local life.
- Overnight: Hotel in Pahalgam.
Day 6: Departure from Srinagar

Terms and Conditions of Service
The contract between the service provider agency, Chicago Group of Houseboats , and the client is only effective upon receipt of full payment from the client.
Chicago Group of Houseboats reserves the right to:
a) Cancel the contract before the service date, in which case liability is limited to refunding the amount received from the client without interest.
b) Amend the route/timing of transportation services due to unavoidable circumstances.
Chicago Group of Houseboats is not responsible for improper services provided by any other agency apart from those officially confirmed by Chicago Group of Houseboats . The agency is also not liable for sudden situations that arise during the service period, such as damage, loss of luggage, or valuables, caused by the act or default of independent service associates.
Chicago Group of Houseboats shall not be liable for any death, injury, sickness, accidents, illegal or immoral activities, penalties due to activities against civic rules, or damage or loss of luggage or valuables.
The quoted amount for services is based on prevailing fuel and related costs at the time of quotation. Chicago Group of Houseboats reserves the right to amend the quoted rate due to changes in tax or surcharge structures, fuel costs, or other costs beyond its control. In such cases, Chicago Group of Houseboats will inform the client in advance of any additional payment required before the start of the service.
This contract is governed by Indian law, and any disputes should be resolved in the exclusive administrative jurisdiction of Siliguri subdivision of Darjeeling district in India.
Booking Procedure
Package bookings must be confirmed in writing.
All booking correspondence must be in writing.
Verbal communication will not be considered in case of disputes.
Bookings are confirmed only after receiving 50% of the total package cost.
The remaining payment must be cleared before starting the service.
Cancellation charges apply as follows
Cancellation must be communicated in writing to Chicago House Boats.
10% of the package cost deducted for cancellations after booking and advance payment.
5% deduction for service date changes made up to 30 days before the service, with the cost calculated based on the hotel and transportation costs for the new date.
20% deduction for cancellations made 30 days before the service starts.
40% deduction for cancellations made 29 to 15 days before the service.
50% deduction for cancellations made 14 to 10 days before the service.
60% deduction for cancellations made 9 to 6 days before the service.
90% deduction for cancellations made 5 days up to 48 hours befoare the service.
100% deduction for cancellations made within 48 hours of the service or in case of no-show.
