Day Wise Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Srinagar
- Activities:
- Arrive at Srinagar Airport and transfer to your houseboat/hotel.
- Take a leisurely Shikara ride on Dal Lake, soaking in the views.
- Explore the Mughal Gardens and local markets in the evening.
- Overnight stay in Srinagar.
- Meals: Dinner.
Day 2: Srinagar to Yousmarg
- Activities:
- Drive to Yousmarg (2-hour drive), a hidden gem in Kashmir known for its lush meadows.
- Begin a short acclimatization trek around Yousmarg.
- Explore the scenic Doodhganga River and enjoy panoramic views of the Pir Panjal Range.
- Overnight stay at a campsite or guesthouse in Yousmarg.
- Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.
Day 3: Yousmarg to Sang-e-Safed Valley
- Activities:
- Start the trek from Yousmarg to Sang-e-Safed Valley (12 km, 6-7 hours).
- Trek through dense forests and open meadows filled with wildflowers.
- Reach Sang-e-Safed, a beautiful valley known for its white rocks and serene environment.
- Set up camp and enjoy the evening in nature’s embrace.

Day 4: Sang-e-Safed Valley to Naranag

- Continue the trek from Sang-e-Safed to Naranag (14 km, 7-8 hours).

- Visit the ancient Naranag Temple complex, a significant historical site.
- Camp near Naranag village, surrounded by majestic mountains.
- Overnight stay in tents.

Day 5: Naranag to Tosamaidan via Gogaldara
- Activities:
- Trek to Tosamaidan via Gogaldara (10 km, 6-7 hours).
- Pass through dense pine forests and verdant valleys, with bursts of wildflowers at every turn.
- Reach Tosamaidan, a vast meadow with a backdrop of towering peaks.
- Spend the evening exploring or relaxing in this tranquil spot.
- Overnight stay in tents.

Day 6: Tosamaidan to Dodhpathri
- Activities:
- Trek from Tosamaidan to Dodhpathri (12 km, 6-7 hours).
- Traverse through rolling meadows and enjoy breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape.
- Arrive at Dodhpathri, another pristine meadow famous for its lush greenery and flowing streams.
- Enjoy the evening by the river or take a walk in the surrounding meadows.
- Overnight stay in tents or guesthouse.
- Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.
Day 7: Dodhpathri to Srinagar
- Activities:
- Morning at leisure in Dodhpathri.
- Drive back to Srinagar (2-hour drive).
- Enjoy a farewell dinner and relax at your hotel/houseboat.
- Overnight stay in Srinagar.
- Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.
Day 8: Departure from Srinagar
- Activities:
- Transfer to Srinagar Airport for your departure.
- End of the trek with beautiful memories.
- Meals: Breakfast.
Important Information

- Camping accommodation during the trek (5 nights).

- Shikara ride on Dal Lake.
- Transfers from Srinagar to trek start point and back.
- Permits and entry fees for the trek.
- First aid kit and basic medical support.
Exclusions
- Airfare to and from Srinagar.
- Personal trekking gear.
- Travel insurance.
- Personal expenses (tips, laundry, beverages, etc.).
- Any additional meals or activities not mentioned in the itinerary.
- Emergency evacuation costs.
- Costs due to unforeseen circumstances (weather, roadblocks, etc.).
Terms and Conditions of Service
The contract between the service provider agency, Chicago Group of Houseboats , and the client is only effective upon receipt of full payment from the client.
Chicago Group of Houseboats reserves the right to:
a) Cancel the contract before the service date, in which case liability is limited to refunding the amount received from the client without interest.
b) Amend the route/timing of transportation services due to unavoidable circumstances.
Chicago Group of Houseboats is not responsible for improper services provided by any other agency apart from those officially confirmed by Chicago Group of Houseboats . The agency is also not liable for sudden situations that arise during the service period, such as damage, loss of luggage, or valuables, caused by the act or default of independent service associates.
Chicago Group of Houseboats shall not be liable for any death, injury, sickness, accidents, illegal or immoral activities, penalties due to activities against civic rules, or damage or loss of luggage or valuables.
The quoted amount for services is based on prevailing fuel and related costs at the time of quotation. Chicago Group of Houseboats reserves the right to amend the quoted rate due to changes in tax or surcharge structures, fuel costs, or other costs beyond its control. In such cases, Chicago Group of Houseboats will inform the client in advance of any additional payment required before the start of the service.
This contract is governed by Indian law, and any disputes should be resolved in the exclusive administrative jurisdiction of Siliguri subdivision of Darjeeling district in India.
Booking Procedure
Package bookings must be confirmed in writing.
All booking correspondence must be in writing.
Verbal communication will not be considered in case of disputes.
Bookings are confirmed only after receiving 50% of the total package cost.
The remaining payment must be cleared before starting the service.
Cancellation charges apply as follows
Cancellation must be communicated in writing to Chicago House Boats.
10% of the package cost deducted for cancellations after booking and advance payment.
5% deduction for service date changes made up to 30 days before the service, with the cost calculated based on the hotel and transportation costs for the new date.
20% deduction for cancellations made 30 days before the service starts.
40% deduction for cancellations made 29 to 15 days before the service.
50% deduction for cancellations made 14 to 10 days before the service.
60% deduction for cancellations made 9 to 6 days before the service.
90% deduction for cancellations made 5 days up to 48 hours befoare the service.
100% deduction for cancellations made within 48 hours of the service or in case of no-show.
